Great sushi, decent prices and good fast service. The Fantastic Roll is my favourite- yum!

Korean sushi joint in the Capitol Hill area.

Parking is available on the side streets.

The place has lots of fake stonework and is themed like what I think would be a Korean village. Looks pretty modern.

    Staff are friendly.

The place is rather expensive. $13.50 for a salmon don. Literally a bowl of rice (not even that big) and 9 slices of fish. I definitely felt ripped off, and so did my friends who ordered other dishes. Their meal combos looked snack sized as well. I could probably polish of 4 of those things in 1 sitting.

For the same price, Sushi Garden is a better deal.

I used to love Sushi Town, for the generous slices of the sashimi and big portions of sushi (still smaller than Samurai). That was more than a decade ago.

I recently decided to try it again and was quite disappointed. The place has been spruced up, with new menu and decor.

I had the fantastic roll which was ok, not that fantastic after all. The portion is average, not that big. As with most places, inflation and other costs have also jacked up the prices.

I will now say it is a decent sushi place, good for those living in the area, but not worth a trip out for it.

In a couple of words to describe my first and only experience with Sushi Town.....cheap eats at fast food speed!  The "Awesome Rolls" were awesome and would just melt in your mouth! Salmon sashimi was generously sliced into "chunks" and tasted fresh.  Yaki Udon (pan fried udon noodles), the Gyoza (pan-fried dumplings) and the Double Dragon Rolls were just A-OK though.

    Fair prices. Good service. Family-friendly!

I had dinner last night at this location. And I noticed that even though it was Wednesday 6 pm it was barely busy. I know because I used to come at this time at any given day and the waiting time usually was from 15 min to 30 min at least. But then while my friend and were eating the chicken Karages they were mot cooked properly. They were raw by the bone. Not one not two but four of them.

So I am wondering if thats one of the reasons that the place is getting quiet? Or it just happen that I came on a quiet day?  Or this issue has happen to somebody else?

I would like to hear some comments on this please.
